Who Is The Traveling Silverback? The Traveling Silverback is not one person, it’s way more than that. Traveling Silverback is the name of the combined wisdom from my experience, knowledge of locals, reviews of Tripadvisor and tips from friends.
Who am I I’m just the one who combines and summarizes the knowledge from people that like to travel the way I do. If you are an individual traveler like I am, you will find many valuable tips on this site.
How Do I Travel? I travel most of the time with my girlfriend or a friend. I like nature, action activities and not spending time on one place for too long (a couple of days at most). I don’t spend a lot of money on my vacation on coziness. But I’m not a backpacker as well. I’m not traveling on a minimum budget, means that getting a low price, is usually not my first priority. That’s also why I try to rent a car wherever I go. I would describe myself as an individual traveler, who seeks the authentic living in the country I visit. (People nowadays call this Flash-Packing)
Let me explain why this is NOT another blogger site I love to read the stories of many bloggers on the internet about their amazing vacation. But when I’m planning a trip, I don't want to waste time on topics like, how terrible the food was, in a restaurant I'm not even planning to go. I need valuable info!
So that's why I created this page: Of course there are Tripadvisor and Lonely Planet which are great. But this site goes a step further than just the mainstream attractions. I will list all insider tips I experienced and tips I got from locals and friends who been there, done that.
I show you insider information like: How to spend an action-packed afternoon in Panama’s nature for FREE. Why you don't have to stay in an All-Inclusive-Resort in the Dominican Republic. And where it’s dangerous in Panama City.
Who benefits? You benefit! This site is for you, and is not about me. If you travel in a similar fashion like I do, you will absolutely get great information from my content/videos on this site.
My Truth, Is Not Always True Every tip, comment, review and opinion is my view, of the particular place. Everything you find on the website, is created for people with similar desires like I do, on how their vacation should look like. I’m an individual traveler which books anything by myself. I prepare my vacation with an almost military mind. But I admire spontaneous situations. So be aware that my true experience will only be true, for somebody who travels like I do.
Example 1: My true experience of the Dominican Republic is that you cannot assume that every place has hot water (I only book Airbnb). But if you book an all-inclusive hotel you will certainly have hot water all the time.
Example 2: My true experience of the Dominican Republic is that you can get around the island pretty fast. But if you are a backpacker and you have to travel with public transport, that may not be the same case.
