You can park your car right at the beach (see Map).
Some local who's the "car guardian", will guide you into your parking spot.
Give him a dollar or two and you are fine for the whole day.
This is a very busy and touristic beach. Sunbed after sunbed.
But there will be a lot of locals as well.
Nevertheless a very beautiful beach where you can snorkel directly from the beach (See Map). Equipment can be rented at the beach. Although this will not be your most hygienic experience, due to the fact that the equipment is very old and probably just cleaned with salt water.
Waves will be very small as the beach is protected by the reef.
There are a lot of restaurants and shops right at the beach.
You can be taken care of, of one the employees from one of the restaurants. Don't worry, you will find them quick, as they wave and shout in the direction of everybody who looks a bit like a tourist. You will get served on your sunbed with drinks and food.
So it's easy to spend your whole day there.
Our total for two people for a whole day was 80$, so be aware of how much you consume. It's not cheap.
An alternative is to bring your own drinks and food and stay here for free or just rent the sunbed for the day (20$ or so). If you just want to lay on your beach towel, you have to find a spot between all the sunbeds, which can leave you with a bad spot on the beach.
All in all a great beach to just lay all day and get served.
But it will cost you.
Playa Alicia/Playa Sin Salida
Another very beautiful beach, but way smaller than Playa Sosua.
It will be less crowded and more easy going than the busy Playa Sosua.
The waves will be bigger in this area.
To find a parking spot near the beach will be difficult, because there is not much space around the beach.
You have to leave the car further in the town and walk to the beach.
